Terms

putty is in beta. It's free to use while in beta, it may change or have rough edges, and you should keep your own backups of anything important — your mail, calendar and tasks stay with your provider either way.

Using putty

These terms cover the putty app for macOS and the online service it uses (together, "putty"). By using putty you agree to them. You need to be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Your accounts and content

You connect putty to accounts you're allowed to use, such as your Google account. Your mail, events, tasks and the apps you make in putty are yours. You give us only the permission we need to run putty for you — for example, to store and sync the apps you create, and to send content to an AI model when you use an AI feature on it. Our Privacy page explains what we handle and how.

Acceptable use

Don't use putty to break the law, send spam or abuse, attack or overload our service or anyone else's, get around usage limits, or build apps meant to deceive people or harvest other people's data. We may suspend accounts that do.

AI features

Apps and text that putty's AI produces can be wrong or incomplete. Look over what it writes — especially messages before you send them — and check apps it builds before relying on them. Sending mail always asks you to confirm first.

Plans and payments

During the beta, putty is free and every account gets AI credits to try it. When paid plans start, their prices and what they include will be shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are handled by Stripe.

Availability and changes

We work to keep putty running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. putty updates itself, and features may change during the beta. If we ever shut down the service, we'll give you notice; the app keeps working with your data on your Mac.

Ending

You can stop using putty anytime and ask us to delete your account. We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken.

Disclaimers and liability

putty is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about putty is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or $50 if you paid nothing.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and tell you in the app before the change applies.
